Eat and Drink

Thornham itself boasts 3 fantastic pubs, all traditional, all child and dog friendly, and all offering excellent food and atmosphere. What’s more, they all sit within just a few hundred yards of Sunset View!

THE LIFEBOAT INN (www.lifeboatinnthornham.com) is a 16th Century Inn with a murky smuggling past.

THE ORANGE TREE (www.theorangetreethornham.co.uk) is a multi-award winning pub with a great oudoor area and a novel ‘Doggy Menu’!

THE CHEQUERS INN (www.chequersinnthornham.com) is great for families, and is renowned for it’s Wood-fired Pizzas and Sunday roasts.

THE DELI (www.thornhamdeli.co.uk) provides great food to eat in or take away, accompanied by a large selection of artisan ingredients and groceries, as well as an array of rustic household items and furnishings for sale.

ERIC’S FISH AND CHIPS (www.ericsfishandchips.com) was already a famous name locally, and opened up in Thornham in Spring 2015 at Drove Orchards (see below).

DROVE ORCHARDS (www.droveorchards.com) is an interesting little spot just on the way in to Thornham as you come from the Hunstanton direction. A café, shop selling local produce, ice cream kiosk and clothing and furniture shops make for an interesting visit.

Surrounding Area

If you want to take advantage of the some of the amazing walks, or hop in the car for a short drive, then the drinking and dining options are just never ending. With far too many to list here, simply venture out locally and you will never be far from good food and a warm welcome! A particular favourite of ours is The Golden Fleece in Wells-Next-The-Sea. Wells is well worth a visit anyway, but we are quite happy to drive over just to eat at this lovely old pub/restaurant, refurbished after a horrendous flood and serving good quality food in large portions!
