Out and About

This area of the North Norfolk Coast is simply bursting with interesting little towns and vllages, both coastal and inland. Here is a guide to a small selection of our favourites:

BURNHAM MARKET

Offered referred to as ‘Chealsea-On-Sea’, Burnham Market has a large array of shops and hostelries of excellent quality – and even a Jack Wills!

HOLME-NEXT-THE-SEA

This pretty little village has a great beach and lovely pub, The White Horse. It can be reached via a nice coastal walk directly from Sunset View Cottage.

WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA

Offering everything you expect from a traditional family seaside resort, Wells is a must day out, especially for families. A massive choice of places to eat is available, but our personal recommendation is The Golden Fleece directly opposite the Harbour.

HUNSTANTON/OLD HUNSTANTON

Well-kept and thriving with interesting shops and things to do, Hunstanton has long since lost any reputation it may have had for tackiness. Another ‘must’ visit if only to enjoy the walk along the eroding coast from Old to New Hunstanton, ending with fish and chips eaten on the front.
